| Rolling Screen w/ JPAC |
| (1/1) |
| mike96sc2:
I installed Soft15 and tried to boot my PC through my JPac. I expected nothing to show up until Windows booted into 15kHz mode and I was okay with that. Instead I had a rolling screen throughout and I could see something in the background that appeared to be related to the boot process. Did I do something wrong, I just plugged in the JPAC into the VGA and into the Jamma harness. I was just trying to do a soft check to confirm all was right. I can't find a decent tutorial or directions on installation to help me through this so I'm kinda frustrated. (1) is there any way to resolve this problem and (2) is there a good tutorial for actually going through the process to make this work? |

What's your resolution set at on your computer? 640x480 is a good starting resolution. If it's still scrolling, adjust your vertical hold pot on the monitor. |

I think it's 800 x 600, I don't even get that far as it just rolls and scrolls from the moment I power up the PC. I noticed the monitor says it can handle up to 60hz resolution so I don't know if I need to change some settings further instead of running Soft15. I did play with my vertical hold a bit, but it didn't seem to help much, it rolled around up and down with the slightest turn. I also get the dual picture thing I have heard others mention, where a second image appears ghosted to the lower right of another. |

Is the J-PAC powered via USB or PS/2 port? Are the LEDs lighting on the J-PAC? Andy |
