| Capcom 6 button layout...how do I order the buttons? Top to bottom or bottom up |

| Dragonman73:
I am working on redoing my control panel layout, I cut the new panel with the typical six button layout per player. But had a question: I notice most people order the buttons like this 1 2 3 4 5 6 Is there a specific reason for this? Most of the games use 1-3 buttons and it would seem like you would be tripping over the bottom row buttons to get to the top three. I was going to order mine like this: 4 5 6 1 2 3 Any reasons why this wouldn't work or am I missing something? |
| BobA:
Just depends on personal preference. You can reassign them any way you want if you hate the layout. |

Of course you'd have to remap the controls for the Capcom fighters, but that's a relatively small number of games compared to all the 1,2, and 3 button games out there for which this layout works better. |

People tend to instinctively use the top row of buttons. However, my default layout was funky. 4 5 6 3 1 2 Because if you look at many cabs with just two buttons the 1 and 2 buttons fall at about the same height and distance relative to the joystick. Of course, for SF I used the standard 1 2 3 4 5 6 |

I have mine mapped as 456 123 I don't bother changing the layout since I didn't really play Capcom fighters that much in the first place, though I do enjoy them. |
