Problem with groovymame32_0144u2.013d / HLSL / Galaga?

I am running groovymame32_0144u2.013d and have a problem with Galaga when run with HLSL enabled.

Deleted all .cfg and .ini files

generate new .ini with -cc option

edit mame.ini
video d3d
hlsl 1
monitor vga

groovymame32_0144u2.013d.exe galaga

Galaga boots, shows post screens then after the white grid blacks out the screen, I can get the tab menu to display but no graphics

All other games seem fine

any ideas?

I've no clue of what can be happening, running galaga here with hlsl and your same settings does work normally.

I will try it out on a  couple of other PC's see whats happening there..

Try and get a screenshot when there's no video, and check if it's black too.

Solved, thanks for the tip!

The screenshot showed the graphics

So I disabled the shadow mask texture and now its fine

Must have been an alpha channel issue

Strange... I've tested it on xp32, ATI HD4350, Catalyst 11.??

Please test it with normal MAME too if possible. Also, try using the -monitor lcd option.
