Questions about a MAME project.

PMd you Mac Green
It's funny that you mention the rubber gloves because I had decided that I would throw on my pair of dish gloves as ridiculous as that seems. Pretty funny visual at least.
It's been on in the last couple of days so there's a chance that it has some charge to it. I'll just be really careful. I should be able to get all the wires disconnected from underneath where the CP pulls out.

As said before, as long as you don't touch anything "electric" you will be safe. The big red cable with the rubber cap connected to the tube is one thing to avoid ;) But just holding in the frame won't hurt you.

Ok, thanks for all the tips everyone. I'll give it a go this afternoon.

Alot of people over due the whole discharge thing. The main time you really need to discharge is if you are actually pulling off the 2nd anode (the big suction cup looking thing).
But I guess its always safest to leave it powered down for a bit first. And like Randy Fromm says in his monitor classes, don't go licking anything on the electronics.

Ok, yeah, I pulled it out and it wasn't a big deal. Came right out, it was actually lighter than I expected.
Here's some pictures of it. I'm trying to find anyone locally that could use it, in the end I don't think it will take much to get it going again. Just displays a bit dark but doesn't look that old and the inside of the cabinet was really clean.
