DaOldMan, what did you attach the bolts that go through the trackball to on the other side (the top side)? Did you have to countersink the bolts into the top of the trackball? Thanks for a reply to this old post.

Yes, I counter sunk the holes and used carriage bolts, I then filled in above the bolt heads with bondo.
First pic below is a down and dirty drawing of how I did it.
Second pic is TB mounted before CP or underside of plexi is painted.
Third pic is the finished job.
