JRoz:
yea for the buttons i'm just going to move them down further...they aren't going to be functional and are pretty big so i'm going to give them some room off of the frame.  The actual frame itself though..you don't think its to thick?

JRoz:
I think the frame is too thick and of course instead of just clipping it on to the front to see if I like it..I lather the thing with gorilla glue and put it on.  Now I can't really change it without ruining the surface.  I'm afraid if I some how get it off i'm going to damage the wood around it

JRoz:
Maybe once I put the buttons in it will look better.  Do you think I should paint the buttons black or keep them as is?  They are very dark brown.

drventure:
I'd leave the buttons darkbrown.

That may be it, the frame too thick.

I suspect you could get it off without too much hassle, You can't leverage it off though. That'd probably peel the veneer. But if you could cut it off... then just sand back the veneer a little, it should work.

I'd probably leave the knobs original or dark brown. Not black.

I've been looking for some good knobs for my cab as well, dang, the people on ebay are proud of those things....

JRoz:
i'm afraid to touch the frame at this point...its pretty lathered with that damn gorilla glue and I cant figure out a way how I could possibly take that thing off without damaging the sides of the wood.  I may just leave the frame as is..i'm thinking its the missing buttons that are doing it.  I'm going to move the two side ones down a little to give it a little room and then one in the middle.
