Ipac4 problems!!
Savannan:
Try this...
bring up your software that tells you which button is on or off
carefully unplug all the wires that are NOT in question. see if the problem still exists....then start from there.
or
are you sure you have the microswitches wired up correctly on those problem switches? maybe you have a wire to NO istead of NC
AndyWarne:
The behavior described occurs if a PS/2 to USB converter is used. All I-PACs are USB devices and dont need a converter. If this is not the problem drop me an email and I am sure we can sort it.
Also dont forget the switch which is defined as the "I-PAC shift" (Start1 by default) will pulse the key ewhen released only.

X3MIST:
This thread has partially answered my question. I have the same problem. When I connect the iPac with a PS/2-to-USB convertor, the switch turns on for a second, then turns off. But if I connect the iPac directly to the mouse or keyboard PS/2 port on the motherboard, the controls are completely unresponsive. I don't know what else to do. I have the iPac 2 if that makes any difference.
AndyWarne:
If the board is working with a converter (albeit with the converter problem you mentioned) then it must work without it. Note that PS/2 ports cant be hot-plugged, the PC needs to be powered off/on after connecting a device to a PS/2 port. If this is not the problem drop me an email and we can look into it: andy@ultimarc.com
