SOLD FS US / FL / Miami: Small Pentium 4 All In One Unit
« on: October 26, 2011, 09:35:03 am »
Selling a pentium4 motherboard, CPU, Heatsink combo. I originally was going to use this system inside of my mini cabinet but unfortunately, after adding the psu, this unit will not fit. The unit was pulled from a dell mini workstation. Board has on-board intel 945g chipset with DVI only. This board accepts ddr2 ram. Motherboard has gigabit ethernet, 7 usb slots, serial, parallel, front and back speaker and mic input and 1 sata connector. The kit includes a 3ghz p4 HT processor (lapped to remove the upper bow), copper heatsink, dual 60mm fans with shrowd, 3.5" hdd tray with quick disconnects, motherboard tray and the proprietary 220w dell psu brick. Added a new CMOS battery and tested up to the XP bootup screen with zero issues. Looking to cut my losses with this unit and unload it as-is for just $20 plus applicable shipping anywhere in the cont. US.

I have a perfect heatware trader rating of 40-0 and regularly BST on other forums under the same name.

Sorry, forgot to mention the connectors. Motherboard has gigabit ethernet, 7 usb slots, serial, parallel, front and back speaker and mic input and 1 sata connector. It does not have any other connectors for hard disk drives.

it would be best to ship this in a flat rate usps box due to just how damn heavy the psu and the motherboard is. I completely forgot to take a pic of the psu so i put up a stock image of it. I'm going to try to find a medium flat rate box, hopefully both will fit in there and save you the 5 dollars extra to ship in a large flat rate box. Medium flat boxes are 10.95 and the large boxes are 14.95. Will call dibs for you until i can get a medium box to test fit with.

unfortunately, it won't fit in anything other than a large flat rate box. Just test fitted the psu and the motherboard in the large box and its tight enough as it is. Actually have to lay the psu on its side next to the fan cowl just to get evertyhing to fit. This means shipping is going to be roughly 15 dollars. I also found the laptop style cd drive that came with the unit. The motherboard can accept dell latitude D series drives. Have no use for it, will throw that in for you. I also have 3.5 sata drives laying around that i can offer you for a small price. Let me know if you are still interested my paypal address is ps2dev@gmail.com. Can try to have the unit out tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

Here are a few that should more than meet your need if you plan on buying this dell motherboard. the Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JD below is the original hdd that came with the dell motherboard. I have multiples of the other drives. They were lightly used as server side apple time capsule backups in a raid config. Will add the original 160gb drive for a few dollars more.

Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JD 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 1.5Gb/s
Maxtor MaXLine Plus II 7Y250M0 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 1.5Gb/s
HITACHI Deskstar 7K400 HDS724040KLSA80 (0A30229) 400GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 1.5Gb/s

FYI i was going to make a bartop based on the weecade plans i modified to fit a spare dresser that i have in my computer room. The board itself isn't far off from microatx spec so just keep that in mind when building your bartop. I know this mobo is perfectly capable of generating some nice arcade gaming but i have a size constraint that i need to keep in mind here. This forces me to cut my losses with this unit and begin to invest in an ITX machine. You know how it goes...my loss, your gain.  :blah:

btw, what monitor do you plan on running? keep in mind that this board only has DVI out. If you need a DVI to VGA converter, let me know before i pack this thing up!
