hi
ok back on track
thk-u for the link
the problem here is u need the >key<
stpcore's is not around the op is short a key
and they all differ
it get's loaded with gvrtool's along with the :rsa:,which i did indentify and remove.
hence the reason i went on to removing the key >dongle< call totaly/yesterday/the day before etc,
strip out it's call's,then it is no fuss no muss
and gobal vr cannot come at me for breach
the rest of what i have been doing is a kinda of teaching thingy
to explain what u do and do not need
if this is not required please state so

side not here if u have the drive out as requested
please go to your main coumpter control panel
click the drive
propites
and un-chk  allow indexing services
it will biatch at u it cannot do a few thing's..just click inqoure all let it do its thing
then clean the drive
ie: remove all the stuff that come's up in the pop up window u may or may not have to :chk-mark-them:
this will make what i am doing a boat load eaiser

I still have one Team Challenge dongle if that's what you are referring to, Ed. Maybe we need a dongle emulator versus a dongle call kill?

It would be beyond my scope at this point. I'm not sure where I would begin, continue, or end. Never worked with these dongles or that software for that matter. Still trying to grasp the concept of what's happening. Remember, Im not a coder.

Looks like the idea is to fool the response of any dongle call to compare it to 0000s zeros or nulls which is what might be reported if a dongle is missing.

That is a good idea. Someone needs to try this to see if it works.  I'm a week or so away from being able to try it myself.

Thanks all for keeping this thread alive.

Any news on adding courses or players like Tiger Woods, etc?

I'll snoop the registry too for Tiger Woods.  Can you give any hints, Ed?

My interpretation of this is:

find and edit the    weruntime.ini    file which may reside in a   gvrtools    folder/directory.

edit the file and zero out the DeviceModel, DeviceRole, DeviceSerial, and DeviceLicense.
Leave GUID, PID, SKU,OEMRev as they are because they will be correct for your particular installation.

Now I just have to wait for my computer so I can try this.

hi
stpcore
i just do not know how to be any clearer
this is where i found the info and what it is
i just cannot clear it up any futher

tigerwood's this will be your pga=c:\drive
c:\teen\pga_tour_golf_2006\Players
u will find tigerwood's
if slaved then just rember the slave name

ed

Sorry Ed but it's not clear to me at all.  I'm sure it's because you are light years ahead of me with your knowledge and you will have to "dumb it down" for me to understand.

I thought you were working on the dongle kill?  Then you are talking about Tiger Woods and his contract with Global VR?  Then you are posting that he is hidden in the game (I thought we covered this)?  I know he is in the game (So is Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicolas, and others).  If you are talking about unlocking golfers for play that's great but I am asking for someone to create a tutorial for how to edit code in order to do so.  I have no idea what it means to look at the HKEYS to activate Tiger Woods, lol!

Remember, not everyone is at your experience and education level (me especially).  If doing a very basic tutorial is going to take too much time for you (I completely understand) I would love to see if anyone here can post a tutorial based on your findings or give me a general step by step outline.  I've put countless hours into this and have learned a bunch but I don't know where or how to edit code and that's where I get a little lost.  If everyone else is following this and I'm holding everyone up I can wait until you all finish and ask for help later.

So are you unlocking courses, Tiger Woods, or bypassing the dongle with your above posts?  It's not clear to me and I'm sorry.  ;D

I got a hold of a drive for Team Challenge.

WERUNTIME.INI is on the root directory.  The contents of the file are exactly as Ed posted.

My question to Ed is:
1.  you say the line to edit is RunTimePID, and you suggest setting it to  00000-00000-00000-00000

As far as I can tell, ed says the ONLY line to change in WERUNTIME.INI is the RunTimePID.

Is that correct?

I'm not sure what that will do, perhaps fake out the dongle call.

My apologies for throwing off the thread with the Tiger thing.  I'll try to figure that out offline.

I gained contact with the gentleman/woman who was dealing with cracking the HASP software, i'm going to send of our enveloped jukebox software and ask some questions about these other hasp dongles while i'm at it. can't hurt to know everything i can. let ed do what he's doing for now. I'll see what i can find...we can collaborate our info and get this knocked off.

Hi Guys,
I have my All Access box running without the dongle. I am using a Hasp emulator. The only problem is that it isn't 100% stable. Sometimes it runs for over an hour without an issue and other times it will only run for five minutes. It never complains that the dongle is missing but locks-up (freezes). No key strokes work after that, the only way to get going again is to do a hard reset. Trying to work out what is causing this issue. May also be related to the fact that it is a new age system Socket 775, PCI-e Graphics card etc. Will post my build if anyone cares to know. It does run 100% with the dongle connected though.

Cheers,
The-0

yes, i mentioned an emulator in an earlier post... i suspected the emulation may not work 100% but it's certainly a start.

i messaged my contact asking about complete removal of protection or if emulation is the only way... I'll post up when i hear back.

I think it would be beneficial for all of us if you don't mind posting the build.  In addition, I would be willing to test the dongle emulator on my stock machine if you think that your updated hardware is causing the stuttering.

I wonder if you threw in the native TI4200 graphics card if it would stop your freezing issue?  It's VERY encouraging that you are running the dongle emulator without the "Dongle Missing" message.  Great work.

H Stpcore,

Will try it on another of my older boxes as this box only has PCI-e graphics slot and the TI4200 is the older AGP type card. Will give you feedback when I am done testing.

Hi The-O

That's great news. Is there anyway I could try the dongle emulator on my system? I have the older Ti4200.

Cheers

Looks like all I got out of this guy was a price ($400) for a key emulator... I'll keep poking the guy for some more info.

Quote
Emulator works only under Windows W2K/XP/2003/Vista/Win 7 32 bit.
You can use Emulator on any computers.
Emulator for your program cost $400 USD.

You can send money on

Bank Transfer
WesternUnion

Inform me, you choose what way of payment also I shall give you a detail.

 :-\

he also sent a video showing the software working (without a dongle of course) I'm sure with enough poking around we can find something free...but as mentioned before, emulation doesn't seem 100%. it would be  best to have a sure thing. the only sure thing i can think of is removing the protection completely. perhaps another call to Global could rectify this situation completely.

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.

Ed please keep working maybe someone else can help or point me to a new thread. Got my tower back from DIT and they say the mobo is bad. They think all else is okay but not 100% w/o mobo. It's the nb 32 rev b. I found one on eBay. Do I shell out?  I have no discs either. I'm down 500 now and don't want to pump more in this if its a loss. It will run an hour or so and then hits something that shuts the entire tower down. Ughhh. Just want to play and catch up w the rest of you. Any help is very much appreciated.

K. I'm screwed. Hooked it back up and now all I get is a bunch of beeps from the tower. Doesn't stop. No screen and no power light. Nada. A least I could play for an hour and have a stogie before. Should have thought this through better. So mad at myself for saving up for this and this is the climax!

double check your cpu is inserted properly, as well as your ram and AGP card...all of which need to be connected 100% to boot. otherwise...beeeeeep beeeep beep beeeeeeeeep.

also count the beeps, it can give you a hint as to what's wrong.

Lil Shawn Ur awesome!  Problem is I'm clueless. I took the sleeves off and think I inspected it. There's lots of things unhooked, but there were before. Also no rhyme or reason to the beeps. They just carry on. I plan on going back to DIT. Also ordered discs and mobo. I am stubborn! (And stupid). Can you tell me what specifically to do?  Gut says to do a restart but not sure how at this point. (IT brainwashing)!!!!!!
