Downsizing Video Game Collection - Advice on how to price and where to sell?

<< < (2/3) > >>

Blanka:
Yes, you should make pages, but you can also sell lots.
Forget about the PS2 on Etsy. 1 it is not vintage, 2 it is worth nothing. If you want a PS2, you get the Slim for 40$. Give that one away to a poor kid or so.

RayB:
Post on game collector sites:
www.digitpress.com
www.cgcc.ca

Local ads like Craigslist (though dealing with skeevy locals is ... ehhh)

or game collector auction site: http://gamegavel.com/
(Less fees than Ebay, but also less people viewing/bidding.)

ark_ader:
Jeepers, your collection is almost as bad as mine.

Last time I let it get so bad, I just rented a skip and black bagged it all, monitors PC and consoles all went.

Getting rid of all that crap was expensive (as I managed to buy most of that crap again  :laugh2:) but it was nice to do a reset.

Forget about getting money for it, find an orphanage or a charity and give it to them.  I would have done the same but I was under serious time constraints (flying the next day).

You will not get what your paid for it, but you might get something back from your taxes and knowing it went to a good home.

Malenko:
well your gamegear is sold to me, I'll pay once we hammer out the saturn price =)

Its just hard, cause I already have 3 saturns, all US =)

Cakemeister:
I agree with ark_ader, just give it away. More goodwill that way. Take a tax deduction for "market value" and you may do as well giving the stuff away as you would by selling it.
