On an original arcade cabinet (like mine) is the power on/off switch that is mounted on top 12v or 110v? I don't want to replace it if its 110v. It is a metal toggle on/off switch recessed in a cutout just above the marquee. There is no writing or notations on it to determine. I searched with no answer on original switches, checked google too.

I want to use it to be the switch for my HD power strip mounted inside.

BobA:

On a real arcade cab the power switch switches 120 VAC.

A switch doesn't care what voltage is on it, with exception to specialty high voltage switches where arcing can be a problem, and lighted switches. The voltage rating relates to the current rating. IE, a switch may be rated for 10a at 120vac, and 5a at 240vac. Ratings for ac and dc are different as well (arcing when the contacts break).
