Outrun Coast 2 Coast PC Version
« on: October 03, 2011, 05:12:03 pm »
I have installed Outrun Coast 2 Coast on my PC & I am stuck....

I am looking at playing it in my driving cab using my original arcade wheel through a U-HID PCB. The problem I have is when I go to options & select my Accell/brake etc there is a slight pause then a set or bars appears. I press brake etc & the bar go up and down but I cant exit that option?

It says press Esc or Return but It just stays on that screen with the level bar.  ???

If it was any other game I would'nt bother but man this is OUTRUN

Please help!

Outrun 2006 C2C is a ---smurfette--- to set up with controls. I spent my whole prior weekend getting that to work on my cab, i would try to select new controls like brake and accel , I would press a button on the xarcade it would pause a second but ignore my keypress.

I had to write a autohotkey script in order to get the controls set up right in that game.

I wish I could help but judging from what I went through with a lousy arcade stick and ushbuttons good luck with an actual steering wheel controller.

After you get to the point it says to hold the pedal in and press select, but by select, it means a different button than enter...even though enter is used for select in every other screen (for me, it's a button on my steering wheel)
Then it will ask you to let the pedal up and press select.
Then it will let you exit.

Hi Beaps. Just curious did you ever get it working dude?

Tranzaddict is correct in saying the game is a royal PITA to setup properly...*particularly* if you have multiple USB driving controls. As an alternative, you can try playing OutRun 2 SP for the PS2 via a PS2 emulator called PCSX2. Game runs properly and you even get rumble. No goofy control problems either using LilyPad. Just set up and go.

Only bad thing, is that Lilypad doesn't have proper emulation support for the Logitech FFB wheel drivers, so the game will think you're using a standard dualshock rather than a real ffb wheel, and thus will deliver only rumble and not true ffb.

hi all, I had issues also setting up a linked twin cab. I found if I gave the games approx 30 seconds in between each assignment it worked, if I was impatient it would go spaz   :banghead:. Cheers

Adjust the OUTRUN 2006 it really a pain in the ass.

I calibrate my wheel a few years ago ... I do not remember what I did that it worked in the end.

But I remember I spent half a day on this stupid calibration.

However BadMouth solution given here, I did not know myself. :applaud:
