I was looking at this power supply on happ's site.  Fits my needs, but it doesn't say if the 5v is adjustable.    (I also don't see a digital read out.)

Does anyone have this supply and know?  (Close up pictures it would be nice if you don't mind.)

Also, how hard does happ hit you for shipping?  Should I buy else where?  (Happ is about $4 cheap on sale right now.)

Thanks!

boardjunkie:

Pwr supplies of this style can have the 5v adj on the outside or on the inside. I haven't seen a "box" type supply with a built in LED voltmeter. There was a couple of the smaller types that did have the meter like this one:

But yer supposed to check voltage at the board anyway, not at the pwr supply.

Yeah I'd say that a digital readout on the power supply would be pretty useless because the proper way to meter it is to do it at the board. the power supply meter can show 5v and you may only be getting 4.5v at the board.
On that happ psu, is that a 5v adjustment on the side?

Its been a while since I've ordered from Happ but if I remember they are a little high on shipping and there is a $25 minimum.

I understand that you should read voltage at the PCB, but an LED volt meter on it would be a good indication that it was adjustable.  :)

Other sources are about $4 more and $11-15 for shipping.

Thanks!

Understatement of the century.

They charged Unstupid $25 shipping on a power supply:

(bah, linked to the post, but it moves when the page loads, you might have to go back up a few posts to read his critique of happ)

I've heard of them charging about the same for shipping a couple of buttons.
