Ultracade USB light gun board
(1/1)
Cruor:
I recently saw an Ultracade USB light gun board on ebay.

It's my understanding that most arcade gun boards properly work only for the few games they were originally designed for, making them poor choices for emulation.  The Ultracade board looked to me like it's designed for pc's and would be compatible with MAME and other emulators, allowing me to use authentic arcade guns with my crt monitor.  Is this the case?  Does anyone have any experience with the Ultracade gun board?  I'm kicking myself for not placing a bid before I went to sleep that night, but I didn't intend on sleeping 21hrs and missing the end of the auction.

lodoss118 recently got one but he didn't seem to get on too well with it. There is a thread [here].

Main problem there is no software to configure this damn thing. Maybe Mr David Foley can help?

I saw the thread earlier on the usb2gun, but I thought that was a different product made specifically for America's Army.  Since an Ultracade is designed to play many games, I thought perhaps the Ultracade gun board might be able to perform better on a wider variety of games than the usb2gun.  The 2 products look similar, but the pic from the America's Army manual (http://service.globalvr.com/downloads/aa/040-0143-01_Americas_Army_Manual-web.pdf) and the pic in the ebay ad look different.
