Let's not pretend that there aren't twice as many uneducated rednecks in Texas. I believe that the premise was higher density housing at low or no construction cost close to work centers since transportation was unreliable and expensive. Regardless, for anyone who was (or is still) a geek in the 80's the story and it's main characters will strike a particularly strong cord. Probably not going to make New York Times best seller but I enjoyed the heck out of it. |
