[SOLD] econ - Emulation Console / Arcade
« on: September 15, 2011, 04:26:21 am »
I am selling this to make room for more new projects. It works perfectly and runs completely cool and silent. The SSD makes it amazingly fast and it boots up in just 20 seconds.  This is just perfect to use with HDTV, projector or even a monitor. Couple it with a pair of Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 controllers and you have the perfect console emulator.

This is the only one made.

I prefer to ship to Europe, but I can ship everywhere in the world.

Specifications:

- Custom made acrylic cabinet with real american walnut veneer - Very high quality / durable
- Seimitsu LS-32 with 34 mm blue ball top
- Sanwa 30 mm OSBN-30 blue pushbuttons (6 pcs)
- Seimitsu 24 mm PS-14-DN black pushbuttons (3 pcs)
- Ultimarc MiniPAC with harness
- E-limitator - 2/4/8 way electronic switch

- Asrock E350M1 - Dual Core and onboard DX11 gfx with HDMI (Any mini-itx board will fit)
- 2 GB DDR3-1333
- 64 GB SSD - Crucial C300 RealSSD SATA6 (Any 2.5" HDD / SSD will fit)
- 60 mm ultra low noise fan
- PicoPSU 80 watt

Software:
Windows 7 Starter
Maximus Arcade
MAME 0.139 + NES + SNES + Genesis + SMS + N64 + PSX and more

Well... The price it cost to make it, not including the hours I put in it, is probably higher. But either way, it's the price...

I just made a price with and without the SSD - If you got a normal 2.5" HDD you would like to use instead and safe some money.

Hey Loke,

Just curious.  Could you make the kits cheaper if you just did the top in arcrylic, and the sides, back and bottom in MDF?  You don't see those parts very much, I know black arcrylic is expensive.

You know what else I think would be cool, if you could do the case without the joystick on top, slap a cheap atom or other low power thing in there and a small hard drive and have it be a classic console emu.  I would definitely be interested in that.

I know I have been critical in the past, But I like the design, I just don't like the joystick on it...

I second that!!!  Can you just build the heart and connector of pads?

Please use the other thread to ask questions about future designs. This is only a sales thread. You can ask question about the specific item for sale or bid on it if you like.
