Okay first post. Just discovered all this "Build your own Arcade" stuff 2 weeks ago. Ipac, KVM switches and all these arcade supply stores... so exciting!!!! I'm gonna do it... in the spring. But! until then over the winter I'd like to get a game plan down. The design/Wood working part I got down. No problems there. So this is what would be awesome. 1 Arcade Cabinet that houses a Mame system (pinball buttons, trackball all that jazz) and an Xbox 360 controlled by one Control panel for both systems (trackball mame only). Is this possible? What I have been reading is no... Microsoft will not allow xb360 pads to be used on a PC. But what if I hook up an Ipac as you normally would, hack a 360 pad with the wires going directly to the buttons. Could that work? |

So your saying just get a Hori and convert it into a full control panel? |

Hook up PC controls using an Ipac4 or Ipac2 (whatever) 2. Then hack 2 or 4 Xbox controllers bypassing the Ipac straight to the buttons. That's it? Do they need to share a common ground? |
