Wow... I might have to learn linux. I can think of plenty of projects I could use that for!
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

I've been following these things for quite a while. I'm excited to get a few of the ones with built in ethernet. The ability power via hdmi is really exciting too.

It looks as if the Raspberry pi are finally shipping.
I wonder if one could setup a mame box with this.

I've actually ordered the model B board myself for use as an emulator rig.  I'll let everyone here know about my experiences as things move along.  First units shipped last week.  I'm due to get mine in july.  I'll be cross posting here and the pi forums as my build progresses.

I have one of these now (and a nifty small plastic case that cost me £3+shipping) but I havent started experimenting with it. My biggest gripe with the RPi is that it doesnt have a VGA port, hence you cant use an old 4:3 LCD which you can find cheaply and in abundance now (I actually found two free ones in a scrap heap today, hope one of the works). So you need something with a DVI port then since there are HDMI-DVI adapters from what I hear, and most DVI port screens are either bigger ones or widescreen ones (hard pressed to find e.g. a 15" with DVI). The same with composite, you have to find a TV then (CRT or LCD). Ofc going CRT you can try to get the real arcade feeling if that is your thing. :)

Shea Silverman has a nice blog about the RPi and getting emulation working on it including his Mame setup. Will be trying this out once I get my RPi up and running although I am at loss to find a screen I can use for a DonkeyKong build (15" screen).

I just got mine not too long ago. It runs most emulators fine, even able to run PS1. So far no decent Genesis emulator though.

I wonder if one could setup a mame box with this.
Sure could.

There are already decent frontends available as well.
