I think ive found a way to do it! replace the metal pad inside the switch with a silicone conductive pad from an old gamepad button/dpad membrane. Tried it on a switch tonight and its dead quiet but only sees 1/3 pushes :( I think i need to make it a bit thinner as im getting 2.33ohms resistance (i think it sould be 0) Will experiment more tomorrow |

I wonder if you could find a conductive pad like that where the resistance varied with pressure over a large enough span such that you could treat it like a 1D analog input (using a uhid or something). Then you could use regular push buttons like gas/break pedals, but still have the regular pushbutton action for everything else. |
