i've bought most of my stuff over the years from http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/ or their Ebay alter ego http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ARCADE-WORLD-UK?_rdc=1. They are very well stocked and swift to deliver.

I would personally avoid getting a cheap zippy set of sticks and buttons (no offence to zippy lovers).  my first buy was such and i regretted it after doing some more reserch. 

Happ or sanwa are much better if you can stretch to it.

Oh and as for sanding and painting, please tell me you mean the stools, not the cats ;D

Must be something wrong with me. I've now got u360s and ultimarcs led buttons and definitely prefer zippys and cheap buttons!
