nope they are all wired correctly. i turned off all the shift functions for the ipac, but when i try to program it i get a "Timeout" error. i feel like throwin this damn ipac out the window |

what if you try swapping out the switch just to eliminate the switch as a the problem. Though it does sound like a shift key issue. being that its an ipac 4, do you have a spare point to bring that switch to? |

i swapped out the switch with a new one and i still get the same problem..i was hoping it would just be a bum switch but it wasnt :angry: and i do have empty slots in "SW7" and "SW8" if thats what u are asking? |

I would move that point over to one of the empty positions and see what happens |

I believe the shift key on the ipac responds to the on_button_up command so that is almost certainly it. |
