LED wiring question

When wiring LEDs, I've seen the ground line daisy chained, but what about the power line?  Can/should that be daisy chained as well?

Power daisy chained:

Power not daisy chained

Which of these two wiring methods is preferred?

Nephasth:

Circuit wise, both of those are wired identical, in parallel. And will work just fine for "always on" LEDs.

blind_dado:

That seems to not be the case the way I look at it.  In the first picture, if the power line is cut between LED 2 and LED 3, no power will get to LED 4.  But in the second picture, all the LEDs have power, even if one of the lines is cut.

Nephasth:

Correct (except for your last sentence, one LED would be out), but they are still both parallel. Wire it up for whatever is easiest for you to troubleshoot, either way will be fine though.
