Holly crap... I had no idea about Zack Hample and his baseball catching.. forgetting about the arcade games.. Dude caught over 5,000 baseballs.... He obviously is good with trajectory which would explain alot in terms of arkanoid... He clearly knows math / angles very well. It's quite cool that someone relatively well known outside of games has a couple of records. I point-pressed the first few rounds earlier, but really need a lucky game - lots of 1UPs and lots of Bs would be handy. Got 35k on round 1 tho. |

The problem I have with Arkanoid is controller-related. MAME+spinner-wise, there's a always a slight lag or over-correction in the tracking. Perhaps because the control isn't original. Sometimes, there's even screen tearing. |

Drawfull however is playing what looks like on his dedicated Jungle King / Elevator Action taito to arkanoid conversion cabinet : I love taito cabinets, nice looking curves don't take up a ton of room... It sucks Arkanoid never had a dedicated "Upright" cabinet I know they had that bar table top one (owner pookdolie on KLOV): but I don't really count that. So many other great classics like Bubble Bobble, Gun.Smoke,Twin Cobra etc... that never had a true dedicated cabinet. |
