j pac + kick harness
Nephasth:
Your kick harness connector would plug right into that Molex header. You would need to solder wires to the back of that header to go to the jpac. That would be the best way while keeping the kick harness intact. Personally, I would cut the kick harness close to the connector and install mating Molex connectors in the harness. That way you could unplug the factory kick harness connector and plug in a new harness end that connects to the jpac and keep the original for if/when you convert it back.

I don't get this but i want to. what is a mating molex connector? Which one of these scenarios would work best for a multi jamma..one of the jammas being mame. In the future i mean. baby steps. So what do i buy and from where? I really do appreciate this help guys.Or is anyone interested in putting this together? ill pay you of course.

If you want to send your kick harness to me, I can install the connector I was talking about.

That is awesome.

Since Kick is an MCR game, everything is on header connectors. Wide spaced for the pwr (the long red one), and narrow spaced for everything else. Its kind of a hassle to convert this over for use with anything else. You can't run a PC off the Midway linear supply. I would just start over and do it all from scratch. Besides, if you don't wanna ruin the original control panel, there's really nothing that you can play other than Kick with that ctrl panel layout. What exactly are you trying to do here?
