Hi,

Just came back from a trip around Nevada, visited Las Vegas for a few days only to find Pinball Hall of Fame missing.

It used to be on Pecos and Tropicana, and there is a listing for the place on the plaza placard but the location is replaced by a beer and grill joint.

Does anyone know if this place has gone bye byes, or is there a new location?

I was looking forward to a few games of Funhouse too.... ;D

Since I have never been there I do not know if you are describing the old location or the newer location.

The NEW Pinball Hall of Fame (PHoF) opens November 3, 2009 at it's new dedicated location. Twice the size of the original PHoF, the new locale is much closer to 'the Strip'. Also it's a standalone and dedicated museum, with pinball and nothing but pinball for 10,000 square feet. The new address is 1610 E. Tropicana, Las Vegas NV 89119 (right across the street from the Liberace Museum), and the old 3330 E. Tropicana location will close on November 2, 2009. We will update the website with new pictures soon, showing the new facility.

Crap, down the street too.

Oh well, maybe next time....

Well I am based in the UK and I was going to add roaming to my Orange phone but the cost was a bit expensive, so I decided to buy a PAYG T-Mobile SIM and get their $1.49 web 24hrs add-on and I would have access.  This didn't work for my Galaxy S phone, but if I went near a Starbucks or a Barns & Noble it would work like 25% of the time.

Most of my time was spent up a mountain in Reno (near Virginia City) with no Net access so it was a break, but I could not get email etc.

So no.  Sadly I did not figure that the PBHOF would have moved and the old sign is still on the plaza placard, so I figured with the economy it went away.

I tried going up to the PBHOF the previous night but Tropicana (near Liberace's museum too  :lol ) had road works and traffic was backed up for miles.  I had to go around via the I-215 to Pecos and drive to Tropicana as it was all still jammed up.

Typical.

Next trip out to Vegas and I'm definitely there.    :applaud:

Reno was a blast, so quiet except for the odd jet with the best scenery.  Perfect place to unwind.  I hear its a bit tricky to drive in the winter.

Did you stay in a hotel or were you camping out in the desert? What you do is you go to the front desk of your hotel and ask "where is __________". They will help you.
