The lumber was leftover from other projects and the computer was given to me.

Don't worry about the tempered glass unless you plan on dropping heavy objects on it.

What about the chipboard (OSB)? You concerned about it at all? I've always used MDF or Plywood after a few failed attempts with the chipboard.

The only reason I was considering the tempered glass is to avoid scratches. I know that since this has a flat top my family and I will be putting random stuff on it as if it were a table. Didn't want to take my chances with plexi and have to change it down the line. It's pretty costly.

Definitely don't do Plexi, but I have had no problems with non-tempered glass. There was a big difference in price between the two. Just make sure the glass is curved on the edge or whatever they do to make it not sharp. I'd say call and see what the difference in price is. The place I called wanted over double for tempered, so I got non-tempered and have been very happy with it.

Looks good, if I ever finish my standup cab, I'd like to try a cocktail.

Where's the spinner?

Cannot play Star Trek properly without a spinner!  ;D

Looks good, and nice pictures.

This thing looks amazing. Love the color scheme. How did you make the cuts for the keyboard drop down panel and what type of wires are holding it? I need to do something similar and could use a little help.

This is a really nice looking cocktail.
I'm usually pretty old school when it comes to cocktails, I like the wood grain Midway style, but this one has real cool style.
great job

This is a really nice looking machine. I really like the whole borg vs the enterpise thing you got going.....it adds a little more depth to the head to head gameplay.

I think the bezel really turned out nice as well, it looks good from every angle.
