I dont know Amys troubles... but Obviously, she had them. Maybe her dad or someone else molested her as a child.

I guess you're not big on personal responsibility?
R.I.P. Amy... talent wasted.
amendonz:
no comment on her death other than saint had the best thought... but when it comes to her 'talent' i can't help but think she was greatly over rated and this early death is going to somehow make her a singing 'great' which imo she isn't. its not like shes a bad singer but the her whole sound is a massive rip off and a gimmick. ah well condolences to the family

--- Quote from: Xiaou2 on July 26, 2011, 06:54:02 pm ---The very people Jesus was angered over, he was basically calling them Trolls.
The people shooting rocks at Jesus? Trolls.
Me when I was a little kid? Troll.
I am never going to claim to be any holy man. Merely that my outlook on life has changed, and Ive become a better person.
And even as I labeled the Trolls (and trust me, they know they are... as they even label themselves as such) , I did extend my true sympathies to their mostly self created sufferings. Unlike them, I am compassionate. Yet in return, what do I get? A curse. Which is very telling, and pretty much an expected reaction.
Very sad indeed. But hey, I was once a Troll.. and if I could change, I feel others can too. There is always hope.
Theres no curse in this world that will ever do worse than Ive done to myself. Only I alone can save or ruin my own life. And only a fool would believe that such things would work in the first place, especially to those who are in the right. (the light of love cuts through all darkness)
Dabbling in darkness only consumes oneself in it. So in essence, they are merely just damning themselves even deeper into a dark hole.
--- End quote ---
This is not a religious debate, but since you know the story, you would know that Jesus knew the woman's exact sins without anyone telling him. Jesus knew what was in her heart, and he knew what was in the heart of the people who called her names. It was his right and his right alone to judge those people as right or wrong, but it was not anyone else's right.
No matter, it it not our place to use religion as a shield to justify when we put others down, nor should religion be used to pull ourselves up higher than others. (It is not on the correct message board either) What gives you the moral right to say that you are compassionate and the people you label as trolls are not? Please spare the religious shield, spare the "better than those guys" routine, and realize that you do not know the people you condemn. If they are truely working out inner problems as you suggest, then it would be most prudent to stop telling them they are "damning themselves even deeper in a dark hole". It sounds like you are the one here doing the cursing.

A curse ?
How sad it must be for you to go through life completely lacking a sense of humour.
The "curse" in question was a line from the movie "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the 8th Dimension", as have been all of the other quotes I have made in this thread,
You are, indeed, a moron.
Stop spouting your nonsense about how enlightened you are (really, who thinks that quoting Lord John Whorfin is a real curse?) -- one of us has actually studied with the Dalai Lama, and one of us hasn't.
Tibetan is a hard language, but nowhere near as bad as reading your posts.

well, I guess you cant read now can you? Ahh well, we all know the reality of this "Joke". Its funny and sad that you think people cant see right through you.

I reserve humor for those who actually are friendly and present it as such.
You have been nothing but a rock thrower to me and countless others here.
And yeah, its not humor. Anyone can clearly see that.

Because I dont know some cheezy useless movie makes me a moron ehh?
Nice call.
And yeah, BTW, its still a curse.
What If I start quoting Nazi propaganda from a film, or threats of violence from an action film? Do you think that really changes things?
The only things funny to you, is bashing other people to try to make yourself feel better about yourself. You "think" you come off as witty and cool, but the reality is furthest from it.

A: You dont know who Ive studied with, what Ive read, what Ive practiced..etc.
B: I dont care who you studied with... cause obviously, it didnt rub off.
C: Its almost as if to say you are bragging. Which is pretty funny really.
The path to enlightenment and betterment isnt attained by 'rockstar' status figures. Its an internal battle of the self.
Its nothing to brag about either. Its something that is liberating, and something that should be shared with others, to try to help elevate them as well.
