Thanx
Didnt find much time this week to work in the storage on the cab, but did some electronics instead.
messy testsetup
Found myself a nice jtaggable console
These things are hard to find in good shape.
This xbox has only run for 5 hours from the previous owner. Its a old xenon type xbox 360, so it doenst have HDMI, but i still have from my old xbox a kick ass quality Monster Xbox 360 Component cable
It came only with optical , so i soldered stereo pluggs to the mainboard.
Then i also soldered
-The nand-x controller for jtag
-12 volt for large 3.5 inch hdd compatabilty
-removed the risistor microsoft uses to disable jtag with an update
-extended powercable for the dvd drive
-added some fans
The xbox is running fine now and i am installing and trying all sorts of software.
Also did some stress testing with all the extra fans, its keeping it cool (dont want a rrod)
Replaced main fan with this
Additional fans (added some resistors to them to keep them silent)
Extended power, sata, hdd and audio connecor
2TB hdd, way overkill i know. but they are so cheap atm, its 5400 rpm low power consumption and silent
This hdd had some known error with possible data missing, there was a firmware update for it. Make sure if you get one you check it before using.
I also tested the speakers for the stereo sound, it produced a hum and little buzzing. Good thing i tried this first before mouting it into the cabinet. I rewired some GROUND wires and its gone now
