laying around which i would like to use in my arcade cabinet, what will i need in order to make these work with the computer? (besides an amp)

also would this amp work?

boardjunkie:

The speakers should be ok as long as they're not close enough to the monitor tube to cause pix distortion.

Amp should work as long as it doesn't pull too much current off the 12v line of the computer's psu. Id actually recommend a seperate 12v supply for that.

okay only problem is doesnt the psu have to be connected to a mobo in order to start up?

JODY:

Google is your friend to find out how to use a PSU without a motherboard.  E.g. http://www.gideontech.com/content/articles/196/1

Lots of others too searching for "how to allow psu to work without mobo"

boardjunkie:

I wouldn't use a PC supply, 'cause it likely won't start up without a load on the 5v output. I was thinking a 5a or so switching supply like this:
