| Ultrastik 360 with Octagon Restrictor?? |

I'm thinking about trying a u360 with an octagon restrictor for a better feel on 4-way games. Has anyone had experience with this set up? |

I've tried all three restrictors and to be honest it comes down to what you get used to. I kept changing them regularly but in the end a circle a square or an octagon doesn't feel like a 4-way diamond. I'm not saying they aren't any good and after a while they were all ok, its just a fact that the physical feel just isn't as good as a dedicated restricted 4-way. Personally I think the octagon tries to be the best of both worlds and partially succeeds. I've now gone to changable panels, one with 2 u360's with the square restrictor and the other with a dedicated 4-way stick for classics. The 4-way panel gets the most use. For the u360 panel, if I'd had the octagons on the the sticks the last time I mucked around with it I probably would have left them on but for occasional 8-way use they weren't worth the effort. |

ok, thanks. its kind of a best of both worlds thing that I was hoping for. I currently use Sanwa JLWs which I feel are the best sticks. they work great in both 4 and 8 way. I'm just tryin to think of how to get by without having to open the panel for changing them. |

I use circular restrictors and, for me, they work great for everything. I thought at one point that I needed a dedicated 4-way, just to get the right feel, but in the end, I just removed it and kept using the U360s for everything. They are just that good. |
