Puppy Arcade?
« on: May 24, 2011, 01:35:16 pm »
Hi there,

Has anyone tried Puppy Arcade (http://scottjarvis.com/page105.htm) on in a CAB environment?

It looks pretty complete - so I'm just curious about using it as an alternative to WinXP.

Be seeing you,

WonderAlex

Wahcade is the best front end for linux on a cabinet.
There are several ways to set up a Wahcade system, see the Wahcade forums.

I actually tried this last night on a pentium 3 128mb spare desktop I had. Run it as a live CD took about 2 minutes to boot up completely....very simple and clean...just tried one rom and it work as expected....what I liked about it compared to wahcade...hardly any configuration. I'm going to mess with it some more tonight to put it to the real test.
