Anyone know where I can get some wicked thin stainable veneer? I need to match the grain of cabinet grade birch plywood. I need a fairly large piece - big enough to cover the side off a cocktail cabinet. Any leads would be appreciated! |

You can pick up veneer at most big box stores or lumber yards. I know home depot carries it in widths up to 24 inches. |

I need to: - cut out the CP and remove the coin door on that one side. - cut out pieces of plywood to fill in the holes. - bondo and sand - add the veneer - cut a new hole for the coin door (it needs to be higher now). - stain and poly That's doable in a weekend I think except for the stain and poly which will likely be spread out over a few nights to allow for drying. --- Quote from: scream1973 on May 11, 2011, 09:26:35 am ---You can pick up veneer at most big box stores or lumber yards. I think a decent option might be laminating over whats already there. It still might only take a weekend... but it'll be a full weekend. |
