| Taking joystick apart... |

So I have 3 different types of buttons in the machine for now, but at least my switches showed up from Groovy which allowed me to get all the switches unified this morning.... the picture below is old, but the question is, how do I get that joystick apart so I can get it out of the CP?? I don't want to break anything and I figure someone here will probably know... also, I think the cabinet was originally Asteroids.. Thanks for the help!! |

so if your just going to replace the switches, why not just unscrew them and change them? but if your hell bent on taking it out... remove the C shaped clip in the middle and pull out the spacer under it and pull out the shaft from the top side. remove the 4 nuts securing the base to the panel on the bottom side. installation is removal in reverse. (actually lavomer is removal in reverse) |

I didn't buy new leaf switches, but I did order new joysticks from Groovy. Thanks for the help! |

Yeah, just follow the steps that lilshawn posted. Your gonna have to snip the wires and resolder them on the new stick. goodluck |
