TheChairmanH2K:
hey guys

im gonna start wiring in a few days and i need quick disconnects of the fully insulated variety.  ive been to a number of places in my area including HD and lowes and no one seems to carry fully insulated female quick disconnects in packs bigger than 10.  everybody has the partially insulated ones, even arcade parts sites, but i want the fully insulated ones.  can anyone recommend a site that has decent prices on packs of 100?  im gonna need more than that so if the price is right ill be ordering a few packs.  thanks in advance  ;D

Radio shack would have those. I had been getting mine from japan..... so unless you need the glow in the dark kind I wont give you that source.

You can try Radio shack, but if no score there, we sell only fully-insulated.  You can find them in the Terminals and Connectors category.  Don't mind that some aren't labeled that way.  I just need to finish updating the titles to reflect that they are all fully-insulated.

randy, i was totally gonna buy them from you when i ordered my buttons and and joystick(which are on their way :) ) but i wasnt sure which to order.  im a complete novice when it comes to wiring.  the gauge i can understand but when it says for "  .??? size terminals" im unsure which, .187 or .250, i need.  if you can point me in the right direction ill be making my second order on your site momentarily.

Those numbers are actually the width dimension of the male terminals on the switches you want to connect the wires to.  MOST of the time, you will be looking for .187" connectors.  Many switches and controls on our store have "stepped" connectors, which while primarily designed to be mated to .187" connectors, can also be mated to .250" connectors.  The hold with .250" connectors isn't as good on the stepped ones, due to less surface area in that dimension, so .187" will be better on these.  Just look at the catalog descriptions for your parts, or use a ruler (calipers, micrometer, etc) to measure the width of the switch terminal.  .187" is 3/16ths of an inch.  These are what you will want with parts from us.
