For buttons in 18mm it will be tough but we do carry the smaller 24mm Seimtsu in a screw in set up here. You can also use the Sanwa 18mm we carry here, but those are snap in. Red and all the other translucents you could want from IL are available in our store here. The plungers can be exchanged, like others have shown before In regards to sticks many people say that the Happ sticks really have declined in quality since they moved to China and if you would like to get back to the quality that Happ started with IL Joysticks are the way to go. Both LL and Paradise carry IL joysticks, they can be found in our store here. As far as upgrading joystick microswitches, All of our microswitches can be used to do this. If you want a silent and smooth feel the 20 gram micros are the best subsitution for joysticks that use that style. We also have an upgrade kit if you choose a joystick like a Seimitsu that has lever arms on the micros. |

Ok looks like I will have to get the sanwa 18mm snap-ins, but the MK PDP Stick is said to have all Happ parts and I can't find those buttons anywhere on the happ site. they are 18mm and convex and im pretty sure snap-ins. Really wish I could find those. Oh well, thanks for all the posts guys |

The snap ins aren't that big of a deal, if you have a 18mm hole, they are pretty snug, and some hot glue will keep them in place. The PDP sticks use Happ Comps. But the arcades used Wico 360x. Happ bought the rights to that and sell the Happs Perfect 360, which is not identical, but pretty much the same. They use optical switches instead of mechanical ones. If you play a MK arcade machine, you will notice that there is no sound from the joystick due to the optical stick. A lot of people like the happ comps for fighters. IL sticks are the same design as Happs sticks, more or less. A lot are moving towards the IL parts because they like the components better. So if you want to replicate the old arcade feel, get some perfect 360 joys and happs or IL competition buttons. If you want to go with what most of the crowd is doing, get IL sticks and buttons. That being said, there are a ton of joystick options. I personally have converted to ball tops. Used to be a solely bat top kind of guy, but after playing a lot with ball top joys, I think I prefer them now. Hope that helps. |

Still can't seem to find the 18mm buttons used on the MK PDP Stick. They are convex and small. If I was to drill for the 18mm buttons what size bit should I use? And is any forstner bit ok for drilling button holes. I see all kinds like serrated, carbide, etc. |

You would use an 18mm forstnet bit, that is what i used for mine |
