Anyone live in Japan? I want you to buy something for me...
SithMaster:
The best I could find online was Seele sleeves AmiAmi.
I could ask someone I know who ships stuff from Japan if he could get them though. I have no idea how much they would actually cost though (markup is probably insane for just being Evangelion for the japanese plus whatever markup importers add) so it would probably cost less than 40.

:laugh2: That's pretty accurate. The guy actually started his shop mostly for sports card memorabilia, but as a businessman he quickly swayed to the demands of the area. The whole "nerds in the attic" thing was his business strategy to both get the nerds to shop at his place and get them out of the way since a shop stuffed with uber nerds can keep the general public skiddish about shopping at his store. I had no clue I was in such close proximity to a herd of nerds until he showed me. And the nerds like it because they can dress like Gandalf with their friends and not have to be so self conscientious in a public place.

Vigo your post was great, I actually laughed out loud when I read. I kinda get a dose of that around July when the Comic Con is in town. That REALLY brings the nerds out. Its so damn popular though, I have been going every year except the last 3 years because the place is sold out. The nerdery there is uncanny.

If you could check with them, that would be cool. :applaud:

The hard part was finding a place that had more than a few booster packs. I had all the big cards except I never got a black lotus. Back then, you could call Wizard to find out how cards worked (since they could be interpreted a number of different ways).
I went to a tournament for the opening of Ice Age. The demographic changed quite a bit. It was a nerdfest and the room stunk. After that, I sold all my cards. I had a full set of dual lands (can't believe how expensive those got), moxes, timewalk, etc.
I remember how much Chronicles pissed me off. I was making a decent amount of side money selling/trading for card and when Chronicles came out it devalued a lot of cards.
Recently I met up with some people who still played. After trying to play a game with them, and having to read every single card because of all the new abilities and stuff I realized I was done. I pulled the remainder of my cards from the basement and sold them as 1 big lot.

Oh wow, then you started in the golden age of MTG. I started when revised came out. Some friends at school were talking about it, and I had no idea what they were, my grandma took me to the local game shop, and bought me a starter deck. I was hooked for a long time. Yeah, Chronicles sucked, I hated that set, pissed me off for the same reason.
Yeah, my friend and I played with cards where Rampage was the hardest thing to decipher. Now there are all kinds of new things/phases/abilites etc. I was thinking of doing that, but I am a nostalgia freak, and I held on to em. The box I kept em in was super custom, and I remember making it etc, so I didnt want to get rid of it.

What you could do is sell off the valuable cards and keep the bulk of the cards for if you ever wanted to play. I was surprised what they were selling for on ebay. A long time ago I sold my valuable cards (valuable at the time). I kept a big box of cards.... weird stuff like beta lands, urza/mishra lands that wasn't valuable. After recently trying to play some magic again - I decided I was done. I sold the whole box of cards for a small sum.
I sold my cards and haven't regretted it.
