Thanks for the kind words.
I haven't mounted the LCD yet, ill have to see how that goes. I was on the fence for a long time if i should build an X-SIM motion rig. I came to the conclusion i didn't want to deal with maintenance.
I'm still trying to figure out a way to mount the wheel if i use an extension or if i cut the dash. I'm going to try an extension first, but ill have to open up the wheel first.
As for the peddles i will be under mounting them, like the video. I will probably add a mod to the brake also so it feels more realistic. I picked up a checker board pattern for the floor. It basically the diamond plate pattern in black rubber, I went this route because i don't my heel slideing around when playing.
As for the shifter I'm still trying to figure that out, i want something more integrated so it looks like its part of the machine. I'm looking at options now.

This is a great project. If you haven't found a place to print your art, I just had mine done at an automotive printer here in canada called Payton Thomas Industries in Langley, BC. Since I provided my own art it was cheap but the quality was excellent.

I am a huge fan of diamond plate. I have it everywhere I can - the laundry room floor, in my truck... and on the front of my guitar! For the laundry room floor, it's not really metal but vinyl flooring by a company called Tarkett. Your local carpet & flooring co should have the stuff, or at least be able to order it in. Maybe if you have an End of the Roll in your neighborhood they have a scrap?
I've been thinking of making a slim driving cab with a seat that slides right into the machine to keep the footprint down. Yours is looking good and I'm taking notes on what a great driving cab entails! Then it's off to the drawing board to figure out how to make it small...

Thanks man
I have a supplier for printing already i think uses the same process as your guy. I used him for my Pincab the artwork turn out pretty nice. I'm not happy with the current design so I'm going to change it.

Im using the original base for the machine but i had tor re drill the holes.
Shot of the TV sitting in side but inst mounted yet
Sideview of the everything with the seat
Next up mount TV to the cleets..

This thing is so bad ass looking! Nice choice of theme too. Always loved Out Run. Grew up playing it on the Master System. Can't wait for more progress updates!
