Portland for the long weekend - any suggestions?

You might also want to try Huber's. It's Portland's oldest bar. It's downtown and very swanky.

Good call. I'll second that, make sure to order Spanish Coffees.

Oh man, that sounds like our kinda place!  :applaud:

Oh, and for Huber's there are two seating areas. Make sure to request to be seated in the back area. You may want to call ahead for reservations.

opt2not - where are you driving down from?  Vancouver?

If so, any suggestions for cool places to go in Vancouver BC?  I've been many times, but the wife and I are heading up there for a long weekend (this weekend).

Typical stuff we've done:

Granville Island - lunch and shopping
Gastown - dinner and drinks
Capilano suspension bridge - cool but kinda touristy
Day trip over to Victoria
Stanley park - both by bike, beach, walking, and the zoo there
Robson Street - shopping and dining

We haven't been since the Olympics, so we're interested to see what sorts of changes there are.  Also, we're looking for a cool nightspot to hear music and drink.  We're staying just west of Gastown, but will cab to other areas for nightlife...
