Pinball/Arcade party this past weekend
« on: April 18, 2011, 05:00:20 pm »
My older brother's good friend was in town for the weekend, so he rounded up his high school buddies and they invited me along for a guy's night out. After dinner I said that we could go back and play my games, and only my brother had seen them. They were skeptical that I actually had playable arcade and pinball machines, but they agreed to go. We had Rock Band going in the living room and high score chases going in the arcade room. Things got heated on the high score chases for The Addams Family, Spider-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Spy Hunter. It was a great time.

I love working on and fixing up these things, but nothing beats getting people over to play. Here's a pic below that my brother took with his phone. There were more people there, but they cleared out so m brother could take the pic.

Please, feel free to invite ME over anytime you can spare it... Day, night, weekends, sick days, vacation days, even general 'ass ache' days when there is just nothing else you want to do.

I'll be sporting a case (or two or three even) of your beer of choice and even several rolls of quarters if I have to.  We always love to play the games people really CARE about and yours look VERY inviting!

Also, I agree that having OTHERS play the games you have worked hard on and are proud of put the icing on the cake!

Jeff-

Agreed. I took my cab project to an 80s party last week, and it was a blast. Between the 'Wow, you actually built this?!?!' comments and helping people get in and out of games, I felt like a proud parent!

I'm not familiar with terminal shipping. Does that mean I have to go to a train depot to pick it up?
