Building a Playfield Rotisserie

(1/1)

Jeff AMN:
I'm going to do a playfield/everything swap on my White Water soon, and I'm thinking of building a playfield rotisserie to make the experience a bit more enjoyable and easier. Has anybody here done this? I see lots of pictures of homemade ones online, but they all seem to come from a single build plan and from the same time frame. Just wondering if there's any good plans out there or if anybody here has good experience making one.

Also, are they overrated, or do they really make things that much easier?

Do a playfield swap without one, then report back  ;D

And no, I didn't make mine...I bought it

Buddabing did a pinball playfield swap on a Stargate and built not one, but two rotisseries.

Jeff AMN:
I'm not building anything that requires any drilling into playfields.

I've got my parts and I have my plans. This one I build is just for funsies, but I'm going to design a very nice one that I might build several models of so that I can sell them. It seems like the demand for them is high enough to warrant making some extras and most of the plans out there give you some pretty flimsy or ugly results.

My dad owns a machining business, so I'm going to design something that can be adjusted to accommodate different playfield sizes, is compact, is light, and can be broken down and stored easily. There's no reason why it should cost $200-$300 like you see people selling theirs for, either.
