Malenko:
a smaller bulb/fixture is the easiest solution, I also lined the inside of the marquee opening with aluminum foil, it reflects some of the "waves"(?) from the light to keep th emonitor from flickering, and it lights up the marquee a little better.

Ignore the huge glare from the flash on my camera
