It’s only for the Playstation 2, emulations can't run it yet.

I didn't read the whole thread (I find anything longer than two pages difficult to get through  ;D) but this caught my eye.  I played this game for ages and then had fun modding it for even longer.  I think my data folder ended up at over 20GB or something.  Vanilla, this game looks pretty dated but well modded it is still a pretty awesome game IMO as well.

But I enjoy the hell out of building on my cab, coming up with new ideas, surfing other people's projects to see what kind of creative things people are doing, and scrounging through junk shops and garage sales for parts.

Yeah, that's exactly it. Building your machine is a lot more fun for me than playing it (although I still play a lot more than the people in this thread that complain about their lack of desire to play). Actually, the desire to play games comes and goes; until about 4 years ago, I only played from time to time, then I discovered arcade emulation, Giga Wing and DoDonpachi and finally all the other Cave and STG games. Since then, I have played a couple of credits every couple of days.
