Nice. I picked up a Blue Elf and a monitor adapter just like the ones you have in your machine a few months ago. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, so it is nice to see that they work well together. I'll probably be sticking mine in a custom "low-boy" or Candy Cab clone. I am even more excited about it after seeing the board running on your machine! Looking forward to pics and vids of the finished project!

Does the board work well on a widescreen monitor? I am just worried that it might stretch the screen unnaturally with a 16:9 monitor. Does it work well like this or should I still use a 4:3 monitor? That would make my monitor searching a heck of a lot easier since 16:9 monitors are everywhere now.

hey, im using a 23" monitor and i cant see any screen stretching at all ! it looks great, i havent tried it on a 4.3 monitor because i havent got one but im sure it will work just as well. i think as long as the monitor has VGA your good to go!

and candy cabs are sooooo nice, i was looking at one on ebay but he wanted £750 for it!  :o

if you need any help setting up e.g. which wires go where just ask!

Thanks for the reply! Nice to hear that the picture looks good with a 16:9 ratio. I may be picking up a 29 inch 4:3 CRT monitor for this thing later this week. If I get the monitor, I will definitely build a candy cab clone for it. Yeah, candy cabs are expensive, even when they're used cabinets. I will save a lot of money making one myself.

If the CRT monitor deal falls through, I will grab a 28 or 32 inch widescreen LCD and make an ultra-thin modern looking cab for it.

Either way, I can't wait to get this started!!

Keep us posted on your project. :)
