Well just started cabinet!
« on: August 24, 2003, 02:44:49 pm »
I will post some pics in the future but so far I have my control panel finished and both sides of my cabinet marked and cut out of 3/4 MDF. No here comes my question. Can someone give me the outside measurments to a 25" and 27" Bezel from Happ Controls. I don't want to start cutting my other pieces until I am sure I got a good fit for it. I was planning to go 28" wide so with sides 29 1/2" overall. If that isn't good enough or is too much please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I have a 27" D9200 Monitor, using a 27" Happs monitor Bezel...  the inside dimension is 27" across, so the outside dimension is 28 1/2.... the Monitor bezel from happs is going to come bigger than that, you have to trim it to fit inside your cabinet dimensions...

Hope that helps.

Here is the last shot for now! The two green buttons in the front are for credits but when all is done they will be pause buttons. There is a 4 way joystick! I might add the trackerball later haven't decided! Still not to bad for a person with no wood working or wiring skills! Please feel free to comment! If I improve on my skills more I will build another!

Why is there something wrong with Hagstrom? I found this to be the best way. That and alot of people used it in there cabinets. Still if there is something better I would love to hear it.

i think he's refferring to the fact that recently people mainly seem to use the i-pac and to a lesser extent, the keywiz. the hagstrom is basically more expensive and harder to use, although it is top quality.

if you want to shrink the file size....

try the following link...
http://atlantic.photoisland.com/photosharing/jpgconv.html
this software is free...

its a jpg converter.... and it can shrink... (a bunch at once..)
and also limit the output pic to like 640 x 480 or something.... (optional...)

I find it pretty easy to use....
and it shrinks pretty good....

have fun !!...  ;)
