ULTIMARC.... Wow!
« on: March 09, 2011, 10:26:31 am »
So last week I put an order in at Newegg.com and also put an order in for an ArcadeVGA on the same day. ULTIMARC sent me the video card from England faster than my Newegg.com order arrived just a few states away. I live in Oregon.... Figure that one out!?

VERY impressed!

Thanks!

-Pete

And you pay for that fast shipping.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but you are locked into one shipping option.

It's not even so much the cost for the shipping...You can have the fastest shipping option available but if the person fulfilling the order takes days/weeks to get it out the door you are still waiting.  Sure Andy uses a more expensive option but he does everything to ensure your order is out the door as quickly as possible to take advantage of said shipping.

I've always been impressed with Andy's service.  I placed my last order with Ultimarc on Sunday and got my package on Wednesday!  UK to Wisconsin.  Great products too.

My most recent order shipped last Thursday and I had it the next day. Granted there's an 8 hour time difference, but getting a package from the other side of the pond the next day is pretty cool.

All you have to do is order from HAPP - there you get expensive and slow shipping and horrible customer service.  The rates Andy charges are very reasonable and his fast response makes it even better.

Yeah, I think my order is scheduled to be delivered today.  For some reason, I didn't know these were be delivered from the UK.  But I won't be there to sign for it, so tomorrow I guess.   :hissy:

I recently put in my first order to Ultimark for buttons, MiniPac and a couple of J-stiks.  Really impressed with the service. Recommended!

I wish I would have ordered my ultimarc products direct instead of from the other ultimarc dealer here in the states after hearing this. I needed them ASAP as I was planning on building my cp last weekend so thats why I ordered from the state side dealer. I placed my order with the stateside dealer on the 6th and it still hasn't shipped. Parts were instock and packaged on the 14th after I asked what was up. Its going to be in the 70's this weekend so it would have been nice to have my stuff so I could finish my control panel this weekend. Guess thats not going to happend  :banghead:

He should make a note of how fast the shipping is somewhere on his website.

Actually, I was talking about Ultimarc's site.   If he mentioned that orders are in your hands ~ 2-3 days then he would probably get a little more business.

Yeah that to  ;D Here it is getting ready to be 2 weeks and my order still hasn't shipped from the US side ultimarc supplier. I'm tempted to just cancel it and place another order with Ultimarc direct.

It's actually  a fitting study of consumerism...most of us are perfectly willing to pay a few bucks more to have it "now".  I know every time I have skimped on the shipping and ended up waiting weeks I end up cursing myself for not spending a few bucks more.

I hear ya. The shame is shipping would have only been $1 more from ultimarc direct. He did get me a tracking # today and I will say his customer service has been great other than the shipping time. I didn't order a trim bezel for my u-Trak and he e-mailed me and recommended I get one which agreed to. I had actually forgot about it so that was nice of him to check before he shipped. Now If groovygamegear would get the novagems back in stock I'll be set!

Always had no problems from Andy at Ultimarc.
Im in the UK so probably be quicker anyway.
But his customer service is second to none. My last order included a ps2 connection ipac. It arrived as usb so i emailed (or phoned - cant remember) and he sent out a free ps2 lead next day.

Top Man!

Need to order some parts when i have the money for new control panel and ultimarc will be my first choice.

That's what I hear. My future ultimarc orders will be from Andy directly for sure.

It's fortunate for us Ultimarc are in the UK and although there are plenty of alternatives, we'd never use cheaper parts as Andy is just the best and has helped us out on many occasions. Good to hear you guys in the US get your stuff quick; it's just a shame it doesn't work as quickly in reverse - we've ordered from GGG, mamemarquees and others and unfortunately the average wait time is 2 weeks. This isn't long in the bigger scale of things but what is frustrating is that when you get stuff tracked you find out about a week of that is stupid hold-ups at the docks, then through customs, then with Royal Mail.... all adding time to delivery and each slapping on charges making cheap goods from abroad not so cheap anymore. Funny, but with all the electronics goods I now buy from the Orient for peanuts, that stuff gets here in less than a week and never gets charges slapped on. Considering stuff in the US isn't much cheaper than the UK whereas HK stuff is, it looks like they got their priorities wrong at UK customs!
