Best Picture goes to...

So far I've seen True Grit, Black Swan, and The King's Speech. They were all good films, but if I'm honest, none of them was truly outstanding. I'm not convinced that any of them deserved an Oscar. However, the King's speech was the best of the three.
With regards to Darren Aronofsky, based on the two films that I've seen so far (Black Swan and The Fountain) I'd say he's got a long way to go before he can be compared to Stanley Kubrick. At the moment he's not even in the same league.
Black Swan was good but I found The Fountain unbearably pretentious. And I say that as the type of person who normally likes pretentious films. But even I have my limits.

The idea that a cartoon can't compete with a live action film for best picture is utter craziness. With that said, Toy Story doesn't come close to deserving the award this year. Hell, it didn't even deserve Best Animation; that accolade should have gone to How to Train Your Dragon.

+1! They did an awesome job bringing the dragons to life.

TS3 doesn't interest me at all, haven't TKS yet, FWIW my vote for best picture would have been I. I've liked everything CN has done, M is still one of my all time favorites. I just got WB from netflix but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I thought KA was great, and as others have mentioned EWS was just weird. I'm not usually a big cartoon movie guy, but I do want to see HTTYD, and I did like U and B.

IDK WTF you're saying, but IMHO it was the opposite of TMI.
Ginsu Victim:
Tired of people telling me how much I need to see How to Train Your Dragon.....so I added it to my disc queue, top spot. ;D
I've been meaning to watch it, and I keep hearing about how much I'm missing out.
I'm looking forward to it.
