Best Picture goes to...

Vigo:
Maybe I'm the only one, but I really don't give a crap about the academy awards. To me, there isn't much more pretentious than handing yourself awards. I haven't seen the King's Speech, but I can say right now that Toy Story 3 will probably be a more memorable movie to me. But the academy reaches to grab the whatever fits the bill best to them as "monumental and dramatic" I learned that lesson way back when Forrest Gump got best picture of the year.

Personally, I found Kick-Ass to be the most entertaining film of 2010. Sorry, nothing even close to dramatic or groomed for winning awards about my choice here. :lol

SNAAKE:
naw blackswan is noting like eyes wide shut. BS is a mix of requiem for a dream and american psycho. thats how Id describe it without spoiling anything :burgerking:

EWS was...dumb and a mess that went nowhere. even kubrick admitted it was his worst(red about it online). and its hard to take tom cruise seriously :dunno

also speaking of movies, you guys should check out "enter the void". that was.....something :dizzy:

Yeah of course. Requiem for a dream was my favorite DA movie. Ever see the Fountain? Yeah, but it could be good because its weird for weirdness sake. Like "hey I dont get this movie, maybe that makes it good". Kinda like Mulholland Drive. Remember that one? I saw that and had no idea what the ---fudgesicle--- happened after it was over. But hey its "critically acclaimed".  :dunno

Thats my boy Vigo right there. Im with everything you said.  I loved Kick Ass, but I hated the ending with the jet pack, that was the only part that I thought was retarded.

shmokes:
Mulholland Drive was a piece of crap.  Never saw The Fountain.

CCM:
I haven't seen BS or TF, but I liked DA's work on RFAD and TW, and I'm excited to see what he does with TW and MM.   TS3 doesn't interest me at all, haven't TKS yet, FWIW my vote for best picture would have been I.  I've liked everything CN has done, M is still one of my all time favorites.  I just got WB from netflix but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.  I thought KA was great, and as others have mentioned EWS was just weird.  I'm not usually a big cartoon movie guy, but I do want to see HTTYD, and I did like U and B.
