Hi!
First of all, nice to meet your community  :D

I recently buy two dedicated (MK & uMK3) cabinets and I would like to replace all the micro-switchs.
Before to order them, two questions (the second one is the most important) :

- gold mswitches are really better or the price difference is too big to justify the buy?
- Do I have to choose 0.1 or 15 A mswitches? I m confused with that....It seems both are used within my cab, is it possible?

thank you for your help  :afro:

Don't overthink the switches. it sounds like maybe you are looking at a source for them that is not an arcade parts shop.
here are some links to good arcade venders that sell switches.

http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/7-microswitches

the micro switches in the player buttons and joysticks aren't subject to much current.
hope that helps

Thank you for the links but my doubt is about my actuals microswitches I have.

Some come from suzo-happ and are 0.1A : http://www.happcontrols.com/electrcsup/95073301.htm
Others came from ebay and are 15A : http://cgi.befr.ebay.be/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380169006489

I don't want to get a short circuit after installation and I m affraid to install them at the moment..

  :notworthy:
What should I do ?

mgb:

yeah the links I posted are for actual microswitches.
Theres really nothing to installing them. just unplug the old ones and plug in the new ones. If you're worried about swapping wires, just do one at a time. There are 3 connectors on a microswitch:
Common, Normally Open (N.O.) and Normally closed (N.C.).

Happ is not the cheapest to order from.

You may wanna post an underside pic of your joysticks too. sometimes those microswitches can be a little different. they will sometimes have a little tab on them but not always.

Thank you dude, but A doesn't matter? I can mix both 15A and 0.1A?
