| High Score Competition # 62: Chicken Shift |

Now's as good a time as any to develop a policy for what to do in case of a tie. Sure, there are 3 more days of this competition in which there could be a tie-breaker, but let's decide upon our tie policy sooner rather than later. I see a few options: 1 - First person to get the score gets 1st, second person to get the score gets 2nd. 2 - Both people share first place, but player who got the score 1st gets to choose the next game. 2nd place person (guy with next-lowest score after the 2 tied people) gets on the scoreboard as 2nd. 3 - 2 tied people play 1 game each & post their score. Honor system applies. Both of the tied scores still stand (unless one of these tie-breaker games results in a higher score), but result of tie-breaker game determines 1st & 2nd place. 4 - 2 tied people play as many games as they want in a period of time (24 hours?) & post their best score. Honor system applies. Both of the tied scores still stand (unless one of these tie-breaker games results in a higher score), but result of tie-breaker game determines 1st & 2nd place. I personally like option #2. Any other options? Feedback? Input? Thanks, -Jason |

In the event of a tie both players are posted as #1, the next lowest score does not get on the board. Neither of the winners gets to choose a game, the next game is automatically GORF. ;D |

#2 sounds good to me |

I think #2 is fair, but I would only list the two players that are tied. --- Quote ---"2nd place person (guy with next-lowest score after the 2 tied people) gets on the scoreboard as 2nd." --- End quote --- I wouldn't list the (guy with next-lowest score after the 2 tied people) because that would be a 3rd place score. Anyways, here's my new high score. |
