The pick for the next competition is Chicken Shift. I figured, lets play a game that everyone can play, requires only minimal controls and doesn't take long for a game. The game requires only 2 buttons and a clear head. Good luck!

Good luck!

Great pick! I didn't come in second for the Mario Bros. competition. Those honors go to my 8-year old son.

#61 - Mario Bros - Winner: LeapinLew, Second: Nickelstringer

:laugh2:   Well done sir.    And well done to the talented 8yr old.

Chicken Shift, definitely going to be trying my hand in this comp. Found this game using the random button about six months ago, played it for 10mins and thought "What a crap game." Then spent the next 2 hours playing it. Then came back the next day to play again. Then moved it to my favourites list.
Top choice leapinlew.

Heh, I wondered who nickelstringer was...nice one :)
Anyway, I'll start the ball rolling with 13890. I messed up my initials (wasn't sure which key was which, so I just put in AAA)
I have played this before, once or twice, a long time ago. Sente made a few interesting games, Snake Pit is a neat one, but I think Stocker is my favorite of theirs.

Simple controls is right. Kind of a weird game. I think the termites don't add anything. Here's a first play. I didn't figure out the intials thing either.

Nifty game, I'll have to give it a little more attention this weekend.

Use the start button to choose the letters for the initials and the actions buttons to go to the next initial.

Definitely just need to get in a groove and find the patterns to go with.  Lost at the level where you have to start storing the eggs in two separate containers..Might as well take the lead before someone blows this score out of the water :)  Very fun game and I'll have to give it some more play when I have more time.

I've gotten to level 6 or 7 (wasn't counting) I'll try to get a screenshot.  It's just like the first level except you have to split the eggs in to two baskets.  I guess it depends on how you count levels.  The first two levels are ones that you drop eggs in the basket, then the next is the kitchen, followed by flipping the chickens in to their nests.  Do you consider that 4 levels or 3?    I've been to 2 egg levels, one kitchen, one flip in to nest, egg level, kitchen level, flip in to nest and keep losing on the next egg level where you have to split the eggs in two baskets.

I've been to level 8 (the first level where you have to place eggs into 2 seperate baskets) I believe (same level upprc04 got to). Next time I play I'll take some screenshots.

Thats the level... with the 2 separate baskets. I have never made it past that level. Anyone here make it past the dual basket level?

Just did...about 5 minutes ago...   8)

Level 9 is a repeat of level 6 (2nd kitchen) but faster.

Level 10 is a repeat of level 7 (2nd catapults) but faster.  I choked on level 10.  I coulda made it.  Fudge.

I think this game is actually increasing my IQ.  I feel smarter already...

Now's as good a time as any to develop a policy for what to do in case of a tie.

Sure, there are 3 more days of this competition in which there could be a tie-breaker, but let's decide upon our tie policy sooner rather than later.

I see a few options:

1 - First person to get the score gets 1st, second person to get the score gets 2nd.

2 - Both people share first place, but player who got the score 1st gets to choose the next game.  2nd place person (guy with next-lowest score after the 2 tied people) gets on the scoreboard as 2nd.

3 - 2 tied people play 1 game each & post their score.  Honor system applies.  Both of the tied scores still stand (unless one of these tie-breaker games results in a higher score), but result of tie-breaker game determines 1st & 2nd place.

4 - 2 tied people play as many games as they want in a period of time (24 hours?) & post their best score.  Honor system applies.  Both of the tied scores still stand (unless one of these tie-breaker games results in a higher score), but result of tie-breaker game determines 1st & 2nd place.

I personally like option #2.  Any other options?  Feedback?  Input?

Thanks,
-Jason

In the event of a tie both players are posted as #1, the next lowest score does not get on the board. Neither of the winners gets to choose a game, the next game is automatically GORF.  ;D

I think #2 is fair, but I would only list the two players that are tied.

Quote
"2nd place person (guy with next-lowest score after the 2 tied people) gets on the scoreboard as 2nd."

I wouldn't list the (guy with next-lowest score after the 2 tied people) because that would be a 3rd place score.

Anyways, here's my new high score.

Exactly, World Class Bowling is one of those games where there could be multiple ties because the highest score is 300.
